Jennifer Starr Charlton was an amazing woman. She was a wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was a teacher and loved the mountains. She was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2011 and eventually earned her angel wings on March 5th, 2012 at the young age of 38. We decided to honor her life each year around her April 7th birthday by spreading joy with acts of kindness in her memory.
I invite all that knew Jennifer, and others that never had the chance to meet her to participate in this fun and amazing event. She was a loving and giving person. We honor and celebrate her birthday by completing acts of kindness in Kansas City.
However, we want everyone to participate regardless of location. I will be posting a card you can print out and attach to the act you decide to do. In Kansas City, we will complete acts of kindness in Jennifer's memory as a group. Do the same where you live. It doesn't have to be a large act of kindness. All acts matter!
Past acts have included:
-$5 gift card
-Paying for another persons lunch
-Leaving a bag of change on a vending machine
-Donating books to a school
-Giving tickets to an event
-Planting flowers for a neighbor
Be creative in what you want to do. Print out the card on this site and include it with your Act of Kindness. Take a photo and post it on social media. It will be an amazing way to bring joy to others.
